MOVING TOWARD EACH OTHER (Part 2)

Nandini's POV

I woke up at 6:30 AM in the morning, did some workout in the home gym and freshened up quickly. Then went to the kitchen by 9 AM and made poha and chai. Ranjiv joined for breakfast, and my brother called me. We spoke to him for some time, then went to our rooms to get ready for the day ahead.

I wore a 2 piece black suit with red bottoms, my favourite. Then we left for college at 10:30 AM. As the workshop starts at 12 PM.

We arrived at the college at 11:30 AM. The Dean was waiting for our arrival.
"Hi, Ms Nandini, we have been waiting for your arrival. It's nice meeting you."
"Nice meeting you, Mr Verma", I said, but of course I couldn't remember the name who invited me here, thanks to Ranjiv, he's literally my rescuer, because I can't remember anyone's name even after hearing it for the 10th time. I am grateful to have him by my side.

Then the dean led the way to the grand hall, and yup, it's full. Although no one saw me yet, I was standing near a pillar next to the door. The dean went to the stage and started the intro, and the professor standing next to him seems like a damn asshole, though. But I don't really mind as long as he doesn't speak to me.

The students started cheering as soon as the dean finished the intro and called me to the stage. I was walking to the stage, and they put the spotlight towards me. The hall suddenly fell silent except for the sound of my heels clicking against the stairs; nothing could be heard. I reached the stage, and there you go, talking for the next 30-40 minutes. And after that, the question session started, which went on for another half an hour or maybe more than that. And I asked if anyone wished to ask me any last questions or if anyone had any queries. A student asked me a question; however, she sounded nervous. She asked me,
"Did your family support you when you started your journey, and did you ever doubt yourself while building your brand?"

To me, it was quite a common question because students often ask me this question, so I answered accordingly,
"My brother is my family, and he is my biggest supporter throughout my journey. Even when I doubted myself and thought of quitting, he had faith in me, which led me where I am today. And coming to the next question about doubting, I'd like to put my point of view that doubt only comes when you start comparing yourself with someone, and doing that will lead you to nowhere, and you will stand where you are, so don't compare yourself with anyone else, so the seed of doubt will never grow."

She said, "Thank you for answering my question". I asked her name, to which she replied, "Samriddhi Singh Suryavanshi".

"It was nice talking to you, and if anyone else wants to ask anything, please feel free to do so". Then someone from the students asked if they could take some pictures, and I accepted, although I couldn't take photos with each one of them, so I suggested taking a group photo, and they agreed.

After the photo session, I was walking towards my car along with Ranjiv when someone called me, and turning back saw 2 students running towards me. Seeing that the bodyguards were about to put them on the gun point but, I stopped them. Then they stood in front of me and introduced themselves as Samriddhi Singh Suryavanshi & Sumedh Singh Suryavanshi. I didn't recognize until they introduced themselves in the hall, it was dark didn't see the girl's face, and on top of that, Ranjiv reminded me (of course).

"Hi, do you want to ask something?" I asked them, to which the boy replied,
"We admire your work a lot. I know if I had asked in the hall, then the other students would have asked the same thing, so we came here to ask if you would click a picture with us only"
"Yes, sure, why not?" I responded. Then Ranjiv took a picture of us. Soon after, someone came towards us, and the students said they knew him and his name is Rehaan Chaudhary. I just said Hi to the 3rd person and excused myself.

Shaurya's POV

The day was hectic but well spent, though, and I went home early as Bhavya had already come back. I reached home at 7 PM. As soon as I entered the living room, Aryan and Aadhya ran towards me.

I kneeled to their height and picked them up. As I had already changed clothes before coming home, I took them and went to the couch. Chachi sa got me water.

"Chachi sa hume thoda chai pila dengi please, thoda sa saar dukh rha hai" She nodded and went to the kitchen, and I didn't see Maa sa in the living room, so I believe that she's also in the kitchen. (Chachi, can you please get me a cup of tea? I am having a little headache.)

Bhavi asked me, "Bhai sa kaise hai aap, aur aapka kaam kaisa chal rha?" (Bhai sa, how are you? And, how's your work going?)

"Saab kuch accha hai bacche, aap bataye aap ka waqt kaisa gujra bua sa ke ghar, aur waha pe saab kaise hai?" I said (Everything's alright, bacche, how's your tour at aunt's home? And how's everyone there?)

"Humne acche hai, baas yeh do shaitaan ke piche bhaagte rehte the, aur waha saab acche hai bhai sa, bua sa aapka puch rhi thi, aur bol rhi thi ki kuch din baad aayenge ghumne yaha pe" (I am well, it's just that I had to run behind these two, and everyone is alright, aunt was asking about you. And she said they will visit us after some days)

After sometime chachi sa came with the tea, and Bhavi took the children to the room as they were tired and slept on the couch itself.

Dada called and got everyone's attention and said that "Riddhi's best friend's brother came to invite our family to the wedding of the middle sibling, and I promised him that all of us would attend," he said in the final tone where no room was left for any kind of no or argument.

Then Riddhi called and excitedly said everything, how she spoke with Ms Nandini, and they took a picture, then she sent a picture to show to everyone. She said,
"Bhai sa woh kitni pyaari dikhti, hai saamne se aap kal dekhna, kitni gracefully baat karti hai, chalti hai. Hum toh bohot excited kal unse milne ke liye. Aur aap kaab ayenge bhai sa Medh puch rha tha" (Bhai Sa, she's so pretty. You should have seen her today — even the way she speaks is so graceful. I'm really excited to meet her again tomorrow. And Medh was asking what time you'll be coming)
"Hum kal 10 baje tak waha pohoch jayenge, waise Rehaan aur Medh nahi dikh rhe kaha hai woh dono" (I will be there tomorrow by 10 AM. By the way, where are Rehaan and Medh?)
"Bhai sa hume pani puri khana tha toh woh dono baas building ke niche gaye hai" (I wanted to eat Pani Puri, so they went downstairs to get it)

"Thik hai phir hum rakhte hai, aap dono bhi zyada der maat jaagna acche se rest kar lena. Good night!" Then I disconnected the call. (Alright then, don't be awake for a long time, take a good rest)
