Author's POV
Shaurya went to his room after having dinner. Got freshened up and went to bed.
Next morning he woke up by 6 AM, went to the gym and got ready for the day ahead. Went downstairs by 8 AM, had breakfast with everyone and then took blessings from the elders and went to the Airport. However, just when he settled into his jet, he got a call from Josh,
"We have lost the person, on the way to the care centre (torture centre), but after that, he is nowhere to be found. We tried to find him for hours, but no result"
"What the fuck do you mean by lost him? He is not a showpiece that you have lost. Samajh aa rha hai kya bol rhe ho, woh sexual assault, human trafficking and kitne saare illegal kaam se juda hua hai usko baas kho diya. This is such bullshit!!!!!" Shaurya is shouting over the call. Josh, on the other line, is silent because he's also frustrated because they have caught him after months of effort, but it's all wasted now. (Do you even understand what you are saying? He was involved in sexual assault, human trafficking and whatnot, and you are saying you have lost him)
"Abhi hum Delhi ja rahe hain, wapas aake baat karte hain" Shaurya disconnected the call without another word. Soon after he arrived at Delhi. He went directly to the college, where he met with Rehaan, and on the way to the hall, Rehaan got a call, so he went to the side to receive it. While walking, he was too focused on the phone that he didn't even see the way, and suddenly he bumped into someone, and without even looking at the person, he started talking in a loud tone (I'm going to Delhi, I will speak to you once I am back)
"Dekhke nahi chal sakte, aakhein ghar pe chhod-" he paused before completing the sentence. He saw the girl, with a serene face, brown eyes, light brown skin, well-dressed, waist-length black hair. He was lost for a few seconds and he came back to his senses when she started speaking, (Can't you see where you are going, have you left-)
She was silent for a few seconds before answering,
"Chal ke toh aap hi aa rhe the agar aapke pairon ko pata hoga toh", she said in a mocking tone and walked away. And Rehaan came at the same time, and he asked what had happened. Shaurya explained the situation, and Rehaan said in a disappointed tone, (If you feet knew, then I believe you are the one who was walking)
"Bhai woh Nandini thi, aur tune yeh kyun bola, dimaag ghar chhod ke aaya hai kya." Shaurya snapped at that and said (Bro, she's Nandini. What have you even said? Did you leave your brain at home or what?)
"Jyada maat bolo, waise se bhi galti se bol diya iss mein konsi badi baat hai" Hearing this, Rehaan's eyes widened in shock, and he said (Don't talk rubbish, it's just a misunderstanding)
"Rana Sa, woh baas koi baat nahi hai, aur upar se woh Ms Nandini thi, Augustus Barone bhai hai uska, and she has the Eagle site when it comes to business, she is a well-respected woman aur bewakoof kya bol diya usko" (Rana Sa, it wasn't just a misunderstanding, that was a mistake, and Augustus Barone is her Brother)
Shaurya was already frustrated from morning, and hearing this, he wanted to destroy himself. However, keeping his calm, they went to the hall, where the dean welcomed both of them and let them sit in the first row along with Riddhi and Medh.
And today in the hall, there were some reporters also present. Then the talk session started. Shaurya was so lost in admiring her that he didn't even hear Riddhi calling him. Then Riddhi tapped on his shoulder, and he came out of his thoughts,
"Bhai sa kaha khoye huye hai aap" (Bhai Sa, where are you lost)
"Kahi nahi bacche, batao kya baat hai" (Nowhere, tell me what happened?)
"Dekha kitni khoobsurat dikhti hai, Ms Nandini, kal humne photo bheji thi nah aapko dekha tha aapne?" Hearing this, he remembered that he was supposed to see the photo, but he completely forgot as he got engaged in his family talk. He mentally slapped his forehead, thinking that if he had seen the photo, then the stupidity he had committed might not have happened. (See, Ms Nandini is so pretty. Did you see the photo I sent yesterday?)
"Nahi bacche humne nahi dekha woh kuch kaam mein busy ho gye the" Then she finished her talk and asked the reporters for their question session, and all the reporters started asking questions together. This went on for a few minutes, and suddenly they stopped as Nandini was looking at them without blinking, and they knew that they would be fucked up if they didn't stop now. (No, I got busy with some work, so I couldn't see.
Shaurya's POV
I was confused how the reporters got silent within the blink of an eye. Although my face showed no emotions, Rehaan suddenly started speaking,
"She's a very calm person, with an unreadable face; however, during one interview session in Mumbai, one of the reporters asked a stupid question, about what she was just staring at her without blinking for a minute, and the reporter suddenly stopped seeing her intense gaze, and when she spoke up, the entire hall fell silent"
I asked him what the reporter asked, and he said, "The reporter said that, I heard that you are in an intimate relationship with Mr Barone, even though you say that he's your brother, but you don't have any blood relation"
"Oh!.... Wait, what?" I was so utterly shocked after hearing that, and he continued, "Ms Nandini is very protective about her brother, just like her brother is protective of her, and the reporter was sent by her competitor"
"So, what was her response?" I got very curious to know about that,
"She didn't say anything at first, she sat calmly, although she's a calm person, but for the first time her calmness was suffocating the people in that hall, she was quiet for 5 minutes and then suddenly said that I would like to get all of your attention to the screen, and I would appreciate it if you could keep this as a memory"
Again, she took a pause before speaking,
"Then she showed a photo of that lady reporter and her competitor in a very intimate position, and knowing that the reporter can deny saying that the photo is photoshopped, in the next moment she played the video where both of them were discussing the plan, and within 15 minutes both the reporter and that competitor got a lawyer's letter with billions of charges."
"After that, she calmly spoke to the rest of the reporters that she likes to keep her personal relations personal only, and I would like to request all of you to respect my decision" With that, the interview ended, but the respect towards her increased, although she exposed that reporter but ensured that no photo or video would be leaked outside that 4 walls. Although the photo and the video weren't leaked, that incident was a hot topic.
I was impressed hearing that. Then suddenly she spoke, "I hope you all can agree that this is not a school classroom" With that, one of the reporters started asking questions, which she replied to very gracefully.
But one of the reporters asked a question where she took a pause for a few seconds and then responded,
"Ms Nandini, you recently visited Japan for business purposes, and in both Japanese & Indian culture, we bow to show our respect, but you didn't bow"
"I only bow to the Adi Shakti Kali, and if it's the question of respect for the people, I believe it doesn't really matter if you are bowing or not, because even after bowing, the other person's choice of words can be very disrespectful, so for me, I choose words to show my respect, and I hope that has given you the answer"
Hearing that everyone clapped in the hall, including me, let's be honest, I am really impressed with her. No doubt she's well respected, and there isn't any negative news about her. The interview ended shortly after.
Riddhi & Medh wanted to meet her again, so Rehaan and I accompanied them. We went outside and saw her speaking on the call, and one guy came and introduced himself as her PA, Ranjiv. My PA, Dhruv, introduced me as he knew the rest of the three. He asked us to wait for a few minutes as she was engaged on the call.
I hate waiting for anyone, but somehow my feet didn't want to move from there. And within a few minutes, she walked towards us.
"Hello, how are you!"
Riddhi and Medh replied together, "We are very well, how are you?" She responded, saying, "Fine", then Dhruv introduced himself and me
"Hi, Ms Nandini, this is Shaurya Singh Suryavanshi, Rana sa of Rajasthan, and CEO of JR & Co (Jayraj-Rajeshwari), and I am Dhruv, his PA" She shook hands with Dhruv and extended her hand towards me, and I shook hands, although I felt like I was in some kind of hypnotisation.
"Hi, Mr Suryavanshi, it's nice meeting you for the second time!"
Did she just mock me? No one in my 28 years did that. And I was a little embarrassed by my behaviour in the morning, and I wanted to read her expression, but somehow I failed, for the first time in my life, I failed to read someone. And before I could answer, Medh spoke up, "Aap bhai sa se kaab mili" (When did you meet Bhai sa?)
"Baas subhe hi takkar maar diya tha aapke bhai sa ne par introduction dena bhul gaye the"
(Just this morning, your Bhai Sa bumped into me, but maybe forgot to introduce himself)
Wait.......what?.......Again? She mocked me again? Before embarrassing myself more, I spoke up
"I am sorry for the morning incident", on which Medh, Riddhi, Rehaan & Dhruv looked at me with a shocked expression.
